Suisse under the patronage of Longines

official timekeeper for the CSIO Suisse in Lucerne,3-6 June 2004

– The Swiss watchmaker Longines confirms its commitment to equestrian
sport by being the official timekeeper and main sponsor of the CSIO Suisse.
In its latter role it will be offering three major prizes to competitors:
the prestigious Longines Nations Cup to be competed for on the Sunday,
the Longines Trophy which will be awarded on the same day to the best
rider in the CSIO Suisse events, and the Longines Prize for Elegance to
be awarded by a jury headed by Mélanie Winiger from Switzerland and Gundis
Zámbo from Germany to the most elegant male and female riders at Lucerne.
This prize, which in 2004 will become an annual award, includes prize
money of over CHF 40,000. At the same time, the watch brand will be taking
advantage of the beautiful backdrop of the Allmend to present its new
collection, dedicated to over a century of collaboration with the Olympic
Movement – the Longines Olympic Collection.
