Thematic
exhibition : Timepieces for Royalty by Patek Philippe
From October 21st to December 30th 2005, the Patek Philippe Museum of
Geneva will host its first thematic exhibition entitled " Timepieces for
Royalty by Patek Philippe ".
From Queen Victoria to John Fitzgerald Kennedy, numerous international
sovereigns, state leaders and contemporary sovereign pontiffs were once
owners of Patek Philippe watches or offered such prestigious goods as
gifts.
Produced between 1850 and World War I, the timepieces presented in this
exhibition have a direct association with the crowned heads or descendants
of royal blood of old Europe and more distant regions.
Thanks to the quality of the products and participation in all the Universal
Exhibitions of the time, Patek Philippe acquired, from its foundation
in 1839, a reputation of excellence answering to a well-informed clientele.
