Daniel Roth has been awarded the prize of watch of the year 2008 in the "up and coming brand" category at the "Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie" in Mexico

For the second year in a row, 22 of the biggest names in watchmaking took part in the Salon Internationale de la Haute Horlogerie which took place from the 23rd to the 25th September in Mexico City. This prize was awarded by a jury made up of 8 influential individuals who are internationally renowned in the watchmaking world. Daniel Roth won the prize with the Papillon Chronographe, presented at Baselworld earlier this year.
Presented as part of the elegant Académie collection, the new Papillon Chronographe is equipped with a calibre 1185 self-winding high-end chronograph movement with column wheel. Worn on a black, blue or brown alligator leather strap and completed by the Daniel Roth clasp, this highly distinguished model exemplifies a timepiece with grand complication that is both sporty and refined with strong mechanical connotations.
