HARRY WINSTON RARE TIMEPIECES PRESENTS AWARDS FOR INTERNATIONAL CINEMATIC EXCELLENCE AT THE TAORMINA BNL FILMFEST 2003

The Taormina (Sicily, Italy) FilmFest closed its curtains after a week of celebrations and distinctions awarded to the world of the 7th Art and to those who make it into a national and international success.
The official sponsor, Harry Winston Rare Timepieces, presented each evening to an outstanding personality of the film world the official FilmFest Award - the "Taormina Arte Award for Cinematic Excellence" - in form of an exceptionally elegant watch.
While female prize-winners were given a diamond-studded watch in white gold, male winners were presented with a unique complication.

The seven winners of the "Taormina Arte Award for Cinematic Excellence" are:

Marisa PAREDES (Spain) - 7/06/03

Ornella MUTI (Italy) - 8/06/03

Miklos JANCSÓ (Hungary) - 9/06/03

Mariangela MELATO (Italy) - 10/06/03

Joel SCHUMACHER (USA) - 11/06/03

Nino MANFREDI (Italy) - 12/06/03

ROBERT DUVALL (USA) - 13/06/03

The award for the best film (the "FIPRESCI AWARD 2003") went to:
El Ultimo Tren by Diego Arsuaga (Spain) - 14/06/03

The Harry Winston brand has always been closely associated with the movie world. Back in 1947, the jeweller had already started adorning Hollywood's most prestigious film stars with exceptional jewellery at the Oscar ceremonies. Next year's date is well noted in order to celebrate in dignified style the 30th anniversary of the Taormina FilmFest.
