Much of Movado's 118-year history was written by the relentlessly
innovative spirit of its developers. Since its establishment in
1881, by Achille Dietisheim, the La Chaux-de-Fonds based company
has turned out a good many timepieces that are still considered
as milestones in the history of watchmaking. Foremost among them,
no doubt, is the Museum Watch. It made Movado's worldwide reputation
and has been extremely popular ever since its debut in the sixties.
But there are many other series as well - Polyplan, Ermeto, Calendomatic,
or the fantastic artist-watches, to name just a few - that will
quicken the pulse of watch collectors around the world.
