Combining breakthrough design and highly sophisticated function, Movado introduces an extraordinary one-of-a-kind platinum timepiece, the Elliptica Minute Repeater. It maintains design elements from the original Elliptica reinterpreted in a round case.
This distinctive timepiece has a black matte dial beautifully detailed by glossy black parallel lines, silvertone Arabic numerals. The strap is genuine black alligator.
The Elliptica Minute Repeater’s mechanism is highly complicated. Its handcrafted stem-winding movement features a slide lever located on the side of the case at 9 o’clock. When activated, it will chime the hour, quarter hour and minute to signal the precise time.
The mechanism’s technical intricacies are visible through a uniquely shaped sapphire crystal case back.

When the slide lever is activated, two tiny hammers strike the time to the exact moment. One to twelve clear bell tones will signal the appropriate hour. Then one, two or three tones chime to indicate the most recent quarter mark passed.
Finally, one to fourteen identical, individual musical notes will chime to signal the precise minute. The train wheels and mainplate of the movement are circular-finished. The bridges are engraved with a “Côtes de Genève” finish. All screws, as well as striking hammers, are polished to a mirror finish. “Movado” is engraved on the bridge.

Movado introduces an automatic timepiece that combines technical sophistication and dramatic beauty — the new Movado Elliptica Réserve de Marche. It is distinguished by its power reserve indicator located at 3 o’clock, which specifies how much time is left before the watch needs to be manually wound. The wearer’s arm motion should be sufficient to keep the automatic movement wound during normal daily wear.
A uniquely shaped sapphire crystal case back allows the owner to view the movement. In addition to its technical intricacies, the Elliptica Réserve de Marche is sporty and stylish. It is available with a matte silver dial highlighted by glossy silver parallel lines or matte black dial punctuated by glossy black parallel lines — both offered with a genuine black alligator strap.
Like its original Elliptica predecessors, the Réserve de Marche has a crown cleverly positioned at 12 o’clock. Additional features include Arabic numerals, date display at 6 o’clock, and G.M.T. 24-hour subdial at 9 o’clock
