Faubourg de Paris
Versace
previews one of its novelties for 2004: the Faubourg de Paris.
A deliberately glamorous name for a new ladies' watch created
by Donatella Versace, that is at once uniquely elegant and contemporary.
This "tour de bras" immediately catches the eye with its baignoire
shaped dial and the originality of its semi-rigid bracelet, made
of links joined by bars cast with a Greek fret. The smooth and
shiny surfaces of the stainless steel or gold plate (depending
on the version) create an intriguing play of light.
Such decorative hallmarks as the Greek fret engraved on the case
and bracelet and the Medusa on the dial and crown, are skilfully
combined to give this watch collection class and elegance, along
with a strong and unmistakably Versace personality.
