Charriol : CELTIC

CELTIC Steel cable: a fascinating style, a powerful concept.

Inspired by the Celtic "torques", Philippe Charriol was the first to use steel cable in watch decoration and bracelets, jewellery, and accessories (belts, etc.). Having celebrated the 20th anniversary of both the CHARRIOL brand and the CELTICŪ cable concept, Philippe Charriol now presents his new CELTICŪ watch (CELTIC III for the initiated!)
- What is the fundamental idea behind this new model?
- The initial creative inspiration was kept in spirit, but the look has changed: The case, now more cohesive, has been slightly curved, while the characteristic bezel with eight decors (in steel or 18K yellow gold) has been simplified and softened; the cable is thinner and only marries with the contours of the case around the two sides (9 and 3 o'clock); and the mobile attachments are fully integrated into the curve and profile of the watch case. The cable bracelet is available in two thinner, seven-strand versions: the original all-cable version, or the new version, with four strands of cable alternating with three strands of steel tubing.
