The Seamaster Planet Ocean 45.50 mm Chronograph, calibre 9300/9301

The Seamaster Planet Ocean 45.50 mm Chronograph is equipped with the exclusive OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 9300/9301, the first in our family of in-house movements to incorporate a chronograph function.

The featured models have a bold 45.50 mm stainless steel case with a choice of bezels offered either in orange matt aluminium or matt black ceramic. They have matt black dials.

The featured models are presented on a brushed and polished stainless steel bracelet with OMEGA’s patented screw-and-pin system. The brushed screw-in caseback has a sapphire crystal that makes it possible to observe the performance of the watch’s extraordinary movement.

The combination of the Co-Axial escapement and free sprung-balance lead to more stable performance over time and the addition of the silicon balance spring means that the movement delivers a level of reliability that allows OMEGA to offer each one with a four-year warranty.

The feature which has already generated the most enthusiastic response, though, is the chronograph sub-dial at 3 o’clock: the positioning of both the 60-minute and 12-hour recorders on the same counter allows the user to read the time intuitively.

The Seamaster Planet Ocean 45.50 mm Titanium and Liquidmetal®, calibre 8500

One of the stars of the new Planet Ocean Collection has a 45.50 mm grade 5 titanium case and a blue ceramic bezel whose scaling and numbers are made of an alloy called Liquidmetal®. Last year Omega became the first watchmaker ever to blend ceramic and Liquidmetal®.  The hardness of the materials means that they will maintain their appearance indefinitely.

This special Planet Ocean is featured here with a blue integrated rubber strap. It is also available with a titanium bracelet.

The Planet Ocean 45.50 Titanium Liquidmetal® is equipped with an OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 8500 and a silicon balance spring. There is also a chronograph version available featuring the new Co-Axial calibre 9300.

The Seamaster Planet Ocean 42.00 mm
, calibre 8500/8501

The Seamaster Planet Ocean 42 mm is powered by the latest generation of the OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 8500/8501, the movement that signalled the Co-Axial revolution when it was developed in-house by OMEGA in 2007. This version of the calibre 8500/8501 is equipped with a silicon balance spring and the watch is offered with a full four-year warranty.

The models featured here are as fashionable as they are technically innovative.

The first has been crafted from 18 Ct red gold and its unidirectional rotating diving bezel is set with 42 diamonds with a combined weight of more than two carats! There is a ceramic triangle on the bezel. It is powered by the Co-Axial calibre 8501 with an 18 Ct red gold rotor and balance bridge.

It has an integrated black leather strap.

The second Planet Ocean 42 mm model is made from stainless steel and is driven by an OMEGA Co-Axial calibre 8500. It features a lacquered white dial with a polished white ceramic bezel.

The Seamaster Planet Ocean 37.50 mm, Calibre 8520/8521

This year OMEGA launches the first Planet Ocean models with 37.50 mm cases, ideally suited for women who want the technological quality and diving features offered by the collection but prefer to wear smaller watches.

Inside the case is the Co-Axial calibre 8520/8521, the same movement found in the OMEGA Ladymatic.

These smaller Planet Oceans also have full diving features: the unidirectional rotating bezel, a helium escape valve and water resistance to 60 bar / 600 metres /2000 feet but they are also uncompromisingly stylish.

One of the watches from the collection here has an 18 Ct red gold casebody and an 18 Ct red gold bezel paved with 42 diamonds with a combined weight of over one and a half carats. It has a lacquered white dial and an integrated white leather strap.

The other featured offering has a stainless steel casebody and bracelet. It has a fashionable lacquered white dial and its diamond-paved bezel glitters with 42 diamonds totalling 1.55 carats.
