Since 1997 WENGER Watch is the privileged partner of the Patrouille des Glaciers (PdG) and the SWISS RAID COMMANDO (SRC). Two international events, organized by the Swiss Armed Forces and which take place alternatively once every two years.
The WENGER SPECIAL COMMANDO series, is a tribute to the Swiss Raid Commando and the Patrouille des Glaciers. This generously equipped, 42mm quartz timepiece offers chronograph functions measuring 60 seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours. The speed tachymeter is naturally also present, as is the date.
The WENGER SPECIAL COMMANDO is available in 3 color executions. Green and orange for the SRC variation and deep glacier blue for the PdG model. Green is the color of the Swiss infantry and orange is the color code used for commando task forces who specialize in stealth infiltration and acquisition of intelligence. Both SRC models bear the Swiss Raid Commando logo on the case back.
The deep glacier blue of the PdG model reflects the color of the ice in the Snow covered Swiss Alps in the evening, as it can be seen by the patrols, who race through the mountains during this grueling event. The PdG model bears the Patrouille des Glaciers logo on the case back.
During special operations, this multi-functional chronograph watch is an essential timekeeping tool, which delivers precise information such as, local time, date, elapsed mission time and thanks to its tachymeter, vehicle velocity. This data is acquired in one quick glance, due to the extra large 38.5 dial opening and the thick Superluminova covered color markers, numbers and hands for enhanced visibility in the dark. The black PVD coating on the 316L stainless steel case, pushers and crown, provide the antireflective, stealth feature required during special operations.
In order to provide maximum wrist comfort, durability and uncompromised resistance to all weather conditions and terrains the WENGER SPECIAL COMMANDO watch is fitted with a solid, supple black rubber strap.

Wenger Commando Racing Team: The need for speed

The Wenger Commando Racing Team is a tribute to the world of motor racing. Its red tone visually expresses a need for speed. This generously equipped, 42mm timepiece offers chronograph functions measuring 60 seconds, 30 minutes and 12 hours. The speed tachymeter is naturally present, as is the date window. A special added feature is an inner rotating conversion bezel, which easily allows the wearer to translate the measured velocity from kilometers per hour into miles per hour.
The Wenger Commando Racing Team comes in three executions, two on genuine leather strap and one on stainless steel bracelet, all equipped with Swiss Made quartz movements.
